Key Concepts: Individualized Learning, Joyful Mastery of Academics.

A strong foundation in core academics: from language arts, literature, and history, to math and science.

Montessori elementary students master challenging academic content joyfully and eagerly, keeping their love of learning alive. Ours is an individualized approach: instead of teaching to the middle of a narrow one-year age group, we tailor each student’s learning plan. We group students based on ability and interest rather than age, in our mixed-age classrooms. Thus, Montessori allows fast learners to accelerate and gives others more time to truly master content, rather than forcing students to move on with gaps in their skills and knowledge.

By fourth grade, TMA students develop into:

  • Expert, effortless readers, able to independently access the knowledge of the world. Extensive practice reading across the curriculum—from literature circles to science research-builds outstanding literacy skills.
  • Capable writers, eager to express a thought on paper. We equip students with a strong base in phonics, vocabulary, and grammar skills. We support them with individualized coaching on drafting, revising, and editing their work into something they can be proud of.
  • Budding mathematicians are able to joyfully use math to understand the world.”Renaissance Minds,” curious and equipped with substantial knowledge of cultural subjects from chronological history to science concepts ranging from biology to astronomy, from geology to basic mechanics.
